By: The San Francisco Chronicle has signed an agreement to use TACODA Systems' Audience Management System on its award-winning Web site, SFGate.com.
AMS helps Web publishers create comprehensive profiles of visitors, who can then be grouped into audience segments of interest to particular advertisers. A combination of demographic data and information on user behavior can help produce constantly refreshed market segments that marketers can efficiently target. Profiles can be regrouped to need the needs of different marketers.
SFGate.com will use the ASP version of AMS, which is hosted on TACODA servers, for its rapid deployment and minimal hardware requirements.
The Chronicle's site is the 4th most visited newspaper site in the nation, serving nearly 60 millions page views to 4.9 million monthly unique visitors, and the paper is one of 12 dailies owned by the Hearst Corporation.
"We're pleasedn to have one of the Internet's premier destinations as part of the TACODA family," TACODA CEO Dave Morgan said in a statement. "Our customer success team will hit the ground running to help SFGate.com develop ad packages based on its award-winning content for local and national audiences following life in the bay area."
More than 1,000 TACODA-enabled Web sites reach more than 75 percent of the U.S. Internet audience each month. Eight of the top 20 U.S. newspaper companies are TACODA clients.
