Washington is clashing with Silicon Valley once again.

U.S. lawmakers investigating Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election have focused their attention on some of the world’s most influential internet companies, including Facebook, Google and Twitter, where Kremlin-backed agents sought to spread misinformation and provoke political discord.
