The Orlando Sentinel headquarters was temporarily evacuated June 23 when an air handler on the production plant roof overheated and sent smoke into the building late in the morning.

The Sentinel reported that its production plant personnel were evacuated first, as smoke filled the building. News and business staffers followed minutes later after an air-conditioning water pipe burst. Those employees were able to resume work in about 30 minutes.

No one was hurt. Nine firefighting units, including a ladder truck, responded to the condition. Roads in the immediate vicinity reopened around noon.
