South Bay's Sold in Lindenhurst, N.Y.

By: South Bay's Shopping Newspaper, a weekly serving Lindenhurst, N.Y., and surrounding communities near the Nassau and Suffolk County border, has been sold to Long Island Media Group.

The buyers include Jeffrey Lambert, former senior vice president and general manager of Star Community Publishing, recently DSA Community Publishing, a Newsday subsidiary. Stan Henry and Thomas W. Rohr, formerly principals of This Week Pennysaver, sold to Newsday in 1997, are also among the new owners of South Bay's.

Launched in 1953, South Bay's has grown its all-mailed circulation to more than 115,000. The newspaper publishes news and shopping information for communities in seven zones.
