Spanish Group Orders Goss Universal

By: E&P Staff Spanish media group Grupo Prensa Iberica has ordered a Goss Universal press for its facility in Antequera, Andalusia. Prensa Iberica prints its own titles, La Opinon de Malaga and La Opinion de Granada, at the Antequera plant, as well as contract printing.

The singlewide, two-around press rated at 15,000 copies per hour will be configured as four four-high towers, a single two-high tower and six reelstands. The two-high tower will be fed by two reelstands providing the opportunity to run two mono webs and increase pagination, or to add a spot color to one web. The installation includes a 2:3:3 jaw folder. The press configuration will permit printing a range of formats.

Prensa Iberica's purchase of the Goss press is part of a larger project at the Antequera facility, where the company plans to refurbish the building and upgrade its mailroom.
