By: E&P Staff Spanish printer CRE-A, a subsidiary of Barcelona-based newspaper publisher Grupo Godo, bought four ProLiner inserters from Swiss manufacturer Muller Martini to meet the Spanish market's increasing demand for newspaper supplements. The inserters are for a modern plant that went into operation a year ago.
The facility produces three tabloids: La Vanguardia, circulation of which peaks on Sunday at approximately 350,000 copies, El Mundo Deportivo, which circulates100,000 copies daily, and Publico, with circulation varying between 30,000 and 60,000 copies.
The inserters are equipped with five feeders plus a Promo feeder for small-format supplements. Extra modules can be added if the demand for supplements continues.
