'St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times' Appoints Business Development Manager/Electronic Publishing

By: E&P Staff David Knight has been appointed business development manager for electronic publishing, a newly created position, at the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times.

Knight last worked for Knight Ridder Digital, were he was director of sales for automotive, real estate and apartment classified categories managing online sales for 28 newspaper web sites. Before that, he spent 18 years in advertising for The Philadelphia Inquirer and The Philadelphia Daily News.

In his new capacity, he will be responsible for developing new revenue streams, leading key business initiatives, and managing the Internet sales team.
