Staff Promotions at 'Newsday' Interactive

By: E&P Staff Newsday has announced that, due to the rapid growth of its online properties, it is realigning staff and resources.

Dennis Elder, Editor, Newsday Interactive, has been promoted to Product Development and Operations Manager, Newsday Interactive. Elder will now be responsible for Editorial, Advertising and Marketing production on Newsday Interactive web sites. He will also oversee editorial and ad production staff, work with print and online Managers, Tribune Interactive and third parties to develop and maintain products in support of Newsday?s goals.

Jonathan McCarthy, Long Island Editor, Newsday Interactive, has been promoted to Editor, Newsday Interactive. McCarthy will now be responsible for Editorial content on Newsday Interactive web sites.
