By: E&P Staff The Star-Ledger of Newark, N.J., has appointed Fran Dauth, managing editor for enterprise, as the paper's editorial page editor.
Dauth succeeds the retiring Richard Aregood. Kevin Whitmer, who has been assistant managing editor for sports and business, becomes the new managing editor for enterprise.
In other newsroom changes, Tom Curran, assistant managing editor for investigations, succeeds Leonard Fisher as an associate editor. Fisher is retiring after 36 years at the Star-Ledger.
Deborah Jerome-Cohen, editor of the Perspective section, succeeds Tom Moran as deputy editorial editor. Moran will write a new column about New Jersey government and politics.
Steve Crabill becomes special projects editor, responsible mainly for investigative work.
