'Star Tribune' Offers TV Mag to Twin Cities

By: E&P Staff The Star Tribune in Minneapolis is offering to deliver a TV listing magazine from NTVB Media to residents in the Twin Cities.

Subscribers to the Star Tribune can add on delivery of ON TV Magazine to their Sunday paper for 69 cents a week or $35.88 a year. Non-subscribers can get the magazine delivered to their home for $1.39 a week. For homes that are not on the Star Tribune's route, the book will be delivered by mail.

The Star Tribune stopped carrying a TV book in 2007.

"Since discontinuing our own TV book, we have continued to hear from customers who miss it," Senior Vice President/Circulation Steve Alexander said in a statement. "In our partnership with NTVB, we have found a cost-effective way to provide this service to our readers who really want it. While there is a minimal cost to subscribe, we believe that the value received will by far offset the cost."

NTVB Media currently partners with newspapers in 11 markets and has plans to be in more than 50 markets by the end of 2010. "We have found a way to provide a high quality product at a reasonable cost to our subscribers that does not depend upon advertising to succeed," Andrew DeAngelis, president of NTVB Media, said in a statement.
