By: E&P Staff The Sun-Times News Group named Hunt Kingsbury as group vice president of marketing. He succeeds Art Redmond, chief marketing officer, who left the company in October.
Kingsbury, 40, joined the STNG in January 2007 as director of marketing analytics. He reports to Rick Surkamer, chief operating officer of STNG.
Additionally, Courtney Price, 44, was named senior director, consumer sales and retention. She was formerly director, circulation strategy. David "Willie" Wilkov, 34, was named senior director, promotion and marketing. He was director, promotions/branding.
"Hunt is a natural leader for the marketing department and, in his new role, will provide Sun-Times News Group publishers as well as advertising executives the competitive tools they need to excel in their marketplace," Surkamer said in a statement.
Surkamer added the three new appointments will "create a stronger more focused team that can be nimble and move quickly in a rapidly changing media industry."
