On a job interview years ago, an intern took me on a tour of the building. While we walked, she told me about some of the history.
Eventually, she asked if I had any questions.
One, I told her. Is this a nice place to work?
Nice? I remember her saying. That’s a stupid question.
I stopped and turned to face her
