By: The Daily Astorian newsroom has been in the dark since the Northwest storms started, but the paper has resumed publishing.
It is using facilities at the Longview Daily News in Washington, and it has been publishing stories on its Web site.
Publisher Steve Forrester says the newspaper has been able to get 7,000 newspapers on sidewalk racks, but hasn't been doing home delivery.
Editor Patrick Webb says it has been "pretty hairy here."
The newspaper has been hobbled by the disruption in communications. It can't call its telephone company, Qwest, and cell service is intermittent.
Webb says, "We're running out of steam."
