By: E&P Staff Arlington Hts., Ill.-based Daily Herald has signed an advertising and marketing alliance with the Chicagoland Wedding Guide, the newspaper announced Wednesday.
The paper said the alliance will give the bridal magazine a greater reach in the north, northwestern and western Chicago suburbs that make up the Daily Herald's market while also increasing opportunities for more content.
"The Wedding Guide is the perfect match for our readership: stylish, sophisticated and smart,'' Scott Stone, director of the Daily Herald's niche products division, said in a statement.
The Daily Herald, Illinois' third-largest newspaper with a daily of about 151,000, already publishes a monthly Commitments section that focuses on weddings, engagement announcements, and anniversaries.
The Wedding Guide, based in Aurora, Ill., is mailed directly to prospective brides and grooms in the Chicago area and bulk-distributed at many bridal stores and other wedding related locations, as well as Chicagoland Barnes & Noble and Borders bookstores. It is published twice per year, in May and November, and runs 250 pages.
The additional promotion of Wedding Guide magazine will be featured in both the pages of the Daily Herald as well as both companies' online sites,
www.dailyherald.com and
www.weddingguidechicago.com.
