The Metropolitan police's investigation into alleged illegal activities on newspapers is continuing to take its toll on the tabloid press with the announcement that charges are to be brought against a 14th journalist associated with the
Sun.
Ben O'Driscoll, a former
Sun deputy news editor, is being charged with one count of conspiracy to commit misconduct in public office in relation to alleged payments of £5,000 to public officials including police officers and employees of Broadmoor secure hospital in exchange for information.
