Howard Saltz, editor of the Sun Sentinel in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., was named publisher and editor-in-chief.
Saltz was named editor of the Sun Sentinel in August 2011. Saltz is also chairman of the journalism advisory board for Florida International University. He speaks frequently at journalism organizations and universities.
Prior to working at the Sun Sentinel, he held editor-in-chief positions at papers in Pennsylvania, California, Ohio and New Jersey. He was an early adapter to digital journalism, rising from digital editor of the Denver Post to an executive role as vice president for digital content for the Post's parent company, Media News Group.
