By: E&P Staff The Sun-Sentinel Co. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., has launched SouthFlorida.com, a new entertainment Web site focusing on the tri-county area.
The site "fills the void for a complete entertainment guide to all of South Florida, including Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade counties," said Sun-Sentinel Co. (

SouthFlorida.com includes databases of over 1,600 local restaurant reviews and movie reviews, plus a calendar of local events. Visitor's guides, entertainment and celebrity news, and "strange but true" news round out the fare.
Farnsworth points out that the launch coincides with the new designation of the South Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). He added that SouthFlorida.com will help grow the Sun-Sentinel brand, through cross promotion with print, TV, and other Web sites owned by the company.
The Sun-Sentinel Co. is a subsidiary of Chicago's Tribune Co.
