By: E&P Staff The Chicago Sun-Times is marking "Roger Ebert Day" today with a special section.

Chicago's City Council last month (E&P Online, June 9) had declared that the day honoring the movie critic would be held July 12. But it was switched to July 18, according to the Sun-Times.

The paper's special section (posted at www.sun-times.com) includes a Q&A with Ebert, excerpts from his reviews and interviews, biographical information, a piece by fellow Sun-Times writer and TV partner Richard Roeper about what it's like to work with Ebert, an Ebert piece on his late TV partner Gene Siskel, and more.

Ebert became the Sun-Times' movie critic in 1967 and won a Pulitzer Prize in 1975. His work is distributed to other newspapers by Universal Press Syndicate.
