By: Clarity Media Group has started Sunday delivery of its free tabloid newspapers in San Francisco, Washington, D.C. and Baltimore.
The Denver-based private company owned by billionaire investor Philip Anschutz said it delivered a total of 840,000 Examiners in the three cities on Sunday.
The Examiner newspapers were originally home delivered Monday through Saturday. In May, Clarity Media said it would replace Saturday's edition with a Sunday paper and home deliver newspapers on Thursday and Sunday.
Chief Executive Officer Ryan McKibben said readers and advertisers said they would rather read a home-delivered paper on Sunday rather than Saturday.
