By: E&P Staff The funny pages are making a one-time-only appearance in print editions of USA Today in July as the National Newspaper publishes a full-page "Superman" strip that marks the launching of a new weekly series of superhero comic strips from DC Comics.
"Superman" will appear in a full-page of USA Today July 8, the day DC Comic launches Wednesday Comics, a publication in a broadsheet format meant to recall the Sunday funnies.
The online-only strips will be promoted weekly in USA Today's print edition.
Wednesday Comics will publish for 12 weeks and include 15 different stories.
DC Comics' official blog called Wednesday Comics "a weekly series created to remind readers of the joys of standalone comics and the newspaper strips many of us grew up on debuting in the pages of one of the most well-known and widely read newspapers ever."
