Syndicated Columnist Sharon Randall to Headline Women's Fundraiser in Texas

By: E&P Staff Award-winning Scripps Howard News Service columnist Sharon Randall will speak about motherhood to the Abilene Women's Club in Texas, at 3425 South 14th St., on April 21 and 22.

Titled ?Things My Momma Taught Me or Would Have If She Hadn?t Been Worn Out,?
Randall?s talk headlines a two-day fund-raiser for a local women?s health facility and cancer clinic.

Randall?s family-oriented Scripps Howard News Service column centers around themes of family and faith. The column is distributed to 400 newspapers nationwide, and her writing has earned accolades from the AASFE, APNEC of California and Nevada, and ?Best of the West.?

A self-described ?full-time homemaker, Sunday school teacher, Little League
scorer and PTA volunteer? for a 10-year stretch as she raised her three children, Randall
began her newspaper career at the Monterey County (Calif.) Herald in 1982. She joined
SHNS in 1994.
