Syndicated Creator Writes Newspaper Cover Story on Afghanistan

By: E&P Staff Cartoonist/columnist Ted Rall has written a cover story about Afghanistan for this week's editions of the Los Angeles CityBeat and San Diego CityBeat alternative newspapers.

"For seven years, I've been telling you that the war against Afghanistan is every bit as illegal and immoral -- and probably less winnable -- than the war against Iraq," he told his blog readers. "Now, slowly, people are starting to notice."

Rall -- the author of several books on Central Asian subjects -- does his editorial cartoons for Universal Press Syndicate and a weekly column that's syndicated to online clients by the Universal-affiliated uclick and self-syndicated to print clients.

He's also president-elect of the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists, and acquisition and development editor for United Media.
