By: Dave Astor Tribune Media Services (TMS) has launched "Bliss," a comic panel by magazine cartoonist and book illustrator Harry Bliss.

Bliss is both a cover artist and cartoonist for The New Yorker. "His work is accessible but sophisticated," TMS Managing Editor Mary Elson told E&P Online. "He takes a contemporary situation and manages to create a laugh-out-loud joke you're not expecting."

The Vermont-based Bliss has also illustrated a number of best-selling children's books as well as covers for dozens of books aimed at adult readers.

He studied painting at The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, and illustration at The University of the Arts (bachelor's) and Syracuse University (master's).
