A one-time editor at big-city newspapers who transitioned into running an online news report at a digital giant has been hired to lead the news team at Syracuse.com and The Post-Standard.
Stephen Cvengros, executive producer of MSN News, is the new vice president of content for the Syracuse Media Group.
His appointment, effective Sept. 16, was announced Wednesday to the staff by Timothy R. Kennedy, president of the SMG.
