Tampa Bay Times Reaches Settlement with Marion Poynter’s Trust

The trust benefitting the widow of Nelson Poynter has withdrawn its lawsuit against the Times Publishing Co. after reaching a settlement with her late husband’s former newspaper.

The suit filed in federal court in Virginia on behalf of Marion K. Poynter’s trust had sought $7.8 million plus interest.
