Tamraz Promoted to CEO at Business Wire

By: E&P Staff Cathy Baron Tamraz has been named CEO of Business Wire, the company announced Friday.

Tamraz joined BW's San Francisco office in 1979 as a news clerk and worked her way up the ranks, eventually becoming chief operating officer (2000) and president (2003).

BW has also made other management changes. Senior vice presidents Gregg Castano (global sales), Phyllis Dantuono (national bureaus), and Michael Lissauer (marketing and business strategy) have been promoted to executive vice presidents. Neil Hershberg (global media) and Frank Yetter (Northeast region) were elevated from vice president to senior vice president. And Lee Marshall, mid-Atlantic regional manager and director of industry alliances, was named a vice president.
