By: E&P Staff The Tennessean in Nashville recently licensed the Burt System from Burt Technologies, Inc., Evergreen Colo., to manage its packaging and distribution operations.
Along with other mailroom vendors' technologies, the Tennessean will deploy the Burt System during a project planned for the first quarter of 2010. The system will facilitate packaging of the Tennessean; The Daily News Journal in Murfreesboro; The Leaf-Chronicle in Clarksville; associated weeklies; and some editions of The Jackson Sun -- all Gannett-owned Tennessee titles produced at the Nashville plant.
The Tennessean will license a suite of Burt System modules: Packaging Manager, Line Manager, Distribution Manager, DX Option, Burt Tracker and the Burt Open Interface.
