Tensor to Install Towers in Vietnam

By: E&P Staff Tensor Group Inc. sold a two-tower, one-folder newspaper press to Can Tho General Printing Joint Stock Company of Cantho City, Vietnam, this week.

The shaft-driven singlewide Tensor T-400BE with an H-50 folder will be installed in the fourth quarter of this year, greatly increasing the printer's newspaper production volume. The towers will be fed by four splicers, with capacity for as many as 32 two-color tabloid pages. Can Tho General Printing plans to run 24 tabloid pages with 8 pages of 4-color and 16 pages of 2-color. A number of dailies and weeklies will be printed on the press.

In business for over 30 years, Can Tho General Printing prints a variety of magazines, books and newspapers. The new Tensor press will support Vietnam's increased demand for newspapers.

VINA Printing Equipment Corp., Ho Chi Minh City, will provide local support to Can Tho General Printing. Dan Huynh of VINA, Tensor's sales and service agent for Vietnam, has nearly 30 years of printing, converting and finishing experience.
