Tensor Towers at Pioneer Press

By: E&P Staff Tensor Group Inc., Woodridge, Ill., added equipment to press lines at Pioneer Press, Northfield, Ill., to meet demand for increased four-color advertising.

The Hollinger International Inc. subsidiary that publishes the Chicago Sun-Times and 53 community titles serving Chicago's suburbs recently bought four Tensor T-1400 four-high towers for two operations -- two towers were added to Goss Suburban presses and two were added to Goss Community presses.

Among reasons for selecting Tensor equipment was the benefit of local support from Tensor during a time-sensitive installation. Remaining T-1400 units, equipped with Tensor remote register motorization, will be commissioned this month.
