Tera GN3 Installs at Two-Newsroom Daily

By: E&P Staff Graphic Systems International, exclusive Latin American distributor for Tera, Milan, Italy, announced that El Diario Hoy, based in Quito, Ecuador, will install a 67-seat GN3 publishing system -- the 45th such system in Latin America.

The change abandons the Macintosh environment for what the newspaper terms a more flexible and affordable infrastructure based on PC workstations.

Part of a multimedia group that also owns the country's first free paper, broadcast outlets, an Internet portal, and other publications, El Diario Hoy covers the country with newsrooms in Quito and one in Guayaquil. It recently became available as a digitally printed edition from electronic kiosks in hotel lobbies and airports worldwide.
