By: E&P Staff Tera, based in Miilan, Italy, announced recent installations of its GN3 publishing system in Europe through NetCom, its distributor for the former Yugoslavian markets.
Late last month, Glas Slavonije of Osijek, Croatia, went live with a GN3 content-management system. A 40,000-circulation daily tabloid with 48 pages of national and local news, Glas Slavonije also has several weekly sister publications and magazines. NetCom representatives and the paper's staff produced test issues "to fine-tune production and content submission and management," said editor in chief Zoran Jacimovic.
Slovenian daily Dnevnik, a 12-year Tera user based in Ljubljana, upgraded its 84 work-seats to the last version of GN3. NetCom Sales manager Zdenka Starcevic described the implementation as "more like the deployment of a new system rather than just an upgrade, since the paper was running a very old version of the software." The new version of GN3 also runs on more powerful servers.
The 65,000-circulation Dnevnik also bought a Tark archiving system and an XML SiteManager to automate production of its Web edition.
