Terre Haute, Ind. 'Tribune-Star' Appoints New Publisher

By: E&P Staff Jeremiah Turner has been appointed publisher of the Tribune-Star in Terre Haute, Ind.

Turner, 36, joined the Tribune-Star in 2000 as retail advertising manager. Two years later he was appointed director of advertising, and continued in that capacity until June of this year when he began serving as interim publisher. He succeeds David Thornberry.

His newspaper careeer began in Seneca, S.C., with Edwards Publications, a family-owned chain. Turner served as a sales account executive and advertising manager, and in 1999 he moved to Terre Haute. He joined the Tribune-Star a year later.

Turner has been involved with the Indiana Advertising Executives Association, Hoosier State Press Association, and the Newspaper Association of America.
