'The Blade' Names New Classified Manager

By: E&P Staff Kim B. Bergman has been named classified advertising manager for The Blade in Toledo. He starts in his new position on Monday.

In his most recent post as director of advertising at The Repository in Canton, Ohio, Bergman supervised a department of 45 employees, including seven managers.

Under his watch, the newspaper launched a Real Estate Guide, a variety of local coupon books, and several glossy niche publications .

Bergman started at The Repository in 1984 as a sales representative, and three years later was promoted to classified manager. In 1996 he was appointed sales manager, a newly created position that allowed him to merge and supervise the local and classified outside sales force.
