The Independent's sister title, i, has overtaken the Guardian's headline circulation, recording an 82.3 per cent rise in a year.
January figures from the
Audit Bureau of Circulation give i an average daily circulation of 243,321 last month, up 9.74 per cent on December and 13,568 copies ahead of the Guardian.
