The Late Dog Farley Wins Poll as Favorite 'FBorFW' Pet

By: E&P Staff It has been 12 years since Farley died, but he still handily won a reader poll as the favorite pet in "For Better or For Worse.

The cartoon dog, who succumbed in 1995 after saving April Patterson from drowning, received 54.4% of the 15,644 votes cast in the survey -- the results of which were announced today.

Finishing second was Shimsa, Elizabeth Patterson's cat, with 26.5% of the vote. Then came Edgar the dog (7.4%), Dixie the dog (5.7%), Butterscotch the rabbit (3.3%), and the late Mr. B the rabbit (2.5%).
