By: E&P Staff The Sept. 15 issue of "The Mini Page" will mark Constitution Week and Citizenship Day with a special edition about immigration.

Universal Press Syndicate distributes the 1969-founded Mini Page" -- aimed at kids and their families -- to about 500 newspapers each week.

"Immigration is a difficult and complicated topic even for most adults," stated "The Mini Page" creator and contributing editor Betty Debnam. "What we've done with this issue is to explain in simplistic but realistic terms the history and issues of our diverse collective heritage."

Lisa Tarry, managing editor of "The Mini Page," added: "The history of all immigration to North America is outlined -- from the [ancestors] of Native Americans crossing a land bridge from Asia to Alaska, to today. Readers are encouraged to trace their own roots as well."
