By: Mark Fitzgerald First, British newspapers published U.S. editions. They were followed by Mexican and Puerto Rican papers. And now, a Mongolian newspaper is setting up shop in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.

According to report on the Web site mongolia-web.com, the daily Unuudur intends to publish a paper called Unuudur in America for Mongolians living in the U.S. The report, attributed to the single name Tsatsa, describes Unuudur as "one of the most popular daily newspapers in Mongolia."

Unuudur in America, which translates as "Today in America," will be printed in San Francisco in an arrangement between its publisher Mongol News Media Group and a U.S.-based company identified as Pacific Marketing. According to a German Web site about Mongolian companies, Mongol News also publishes an English-language weekly in Mongolia, plus a youth weekly called Love Post, and a children's weekly named Be Be Be.

The mongolia-web.com report said if the venture proves successful in America, "it will be considered to publish Unuudur in Korea for Mongolians in Korea."

The report said more than 10,000 Mongolians live in the U.S.
