Today The New York Times introduced California Today, a morning update for readers in California (and anyone else interested in the state).

California Today publishes on weekdays at 6am PT and will be available on The Times’s home page and mobile apps. It will also be available as an email newsletter. Written by Mike McPhate and edited by Julie Bloom, both of whom are California born, the daily update covers topics and news of interest to Californians in a relaxed and conversational voice similar to New York Today.
