The Past Becomes the Present for Advice Columnist Amy Dickinson

Posted
By: E&P Staff Columnist Amy Dickinson, who dispenses advice about relationships and other matters, is the subject of a long New York Times story about her recent marriage to the brother of a childhood friend.

The Chicago Tribune/Tribune Media Services columnist grew up on a dairy farm in upstate New York. Bruno Schickel, the man she wed last month, stayed in that region. Both were divorced parents before meeting up again.

Dickinson was chosen by the Tribune in 2003 to replace late advice columnist Ann Landers.

The Times story can be seen here.
