PROVIDENCE — Starting on Tuesday,
The Providence Journal will begin charging some subscribers for access to the newspaper’s digital editions. Access has been free since October. Subscribers with existing seven-day print subscriptions will continue to get the eEdition at no additional cost.
Other subscription plans will be available for those wishing access only to the eEdition, or for those who want to add the eEdition to weekend-only or four-day print subscriptions or Sunday only.
The Journal is also offering a five-day (weekday) print subscription aimed at the business market –– one of 10 different subscription options that will be available starting Tuesday.
