which is given by the United Nations and the Guillermo Cano foundation, will be awarded to Mexican journalist and editor, Jesus Blancornelas. On May 3, he will receive the award and a $25,000 prize. The award is given to journalists who work under dangerous situations or dictatorships. The 63-year-old editor continues to investigate drug traffickers even though he survived an assassination attempt that was made on his life two years ago. He is the chief editor and founder of the weekly paper Zeta in Tijuana, Mexico.
