The Week, a 5-year-old British product that touts itself
as the best weekly collection of writing worldwide, is coming to
the United States. Dennis Publishing, which launched the United
Kingdom version in 1995, plans to begin a U.S. version in the
spring.

"Most of us are simply too busy to keep up with the incredible
amount of information that now comes to us through print and
electronic media," said William Falk, the Pulitzer Prize-winning
journalist who will edit the U.S. version.

Publishers said the newsprint product will have an initial
distribution of 150,000 copies, with an annual subscription rate
of $75.
