Three More Dailies Adopt Presteligence Workflow

Three dailies recently purchased NewsXtreme prepress production workflow products from Presteligence, North Canton, Ohio.

The Sandusky (Ohio) Register chose NewsXtreme when it took over printing of its nearby sister paper, the Norwalk Reflector (E&P Online, May 26).

Production is now managed through a home-grown imposer application and a RIP. The paper faced either adding employees or automating the workflow to accommodate the extra work. It is installing NewsXtreme LITE this month, configuring it to drop plates to their existing AlfaQuest CTP devices.

Paxton Media's News-Topic, Lenoir, N.C., and Shelbyville (Ind.) News also will employ NewsXtreme LITE as part of their transition to CTP and the Southern Lithoplate CTP Alliance. The system is already in live production in Shelbyville, where the News is run along with commercial work through NewsXtreme, and the system outputs pages to its archive and to Presteligence's Adinfinitum FTP for electronic tearsheets.
