Times Community Newspapers Appoints CEO

By: E&P Staff Peter W. Arundel has been named chief executive officer of Times Community Newspapers. Arundel most recently served as president.

Based in Dulles, Va., Times Community Newspapers publishes 18 community weeklies in Northern Virginia, covering the counties of Fairfax, Prince William, Loudoun, Fauquier, Clarke and Rappahannock.

Arundel was named company president in 1996 and publisher of the Fairfax Newspaper Division in 2001. As CEO he succeeds his father, Arthur W. Arundel, as head of all company operations and the company's chief spokesman.
