Times-Union General Manager Retiring After 43 Years With Company

The general manager of the Times-Union announced Wednesday he is retiring after 43 years with the organization.

Bobby Martin, 67, said he’ll begin his retirement Dec. 31.

Martin first joined the Times-Union in 1961 while a student at Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville. His first job was working in the advertising department delivering copy and proofs.
