By: Dave Astor Tribune Media Services promoted two senior executives as part of its reorganization combining domestic and international operations in Chicago (E&P, Aug. 6).
Walter Mahoney was named vice president of worldwide sales and Knight Ridder/Tribune Information Services, and John Twohey will assume the newly created post of vice president of editorial and operations.
Mahoney joined TMS in 1974, and moved through the ranks until becoming vice president of domestic syndication in 2000. Twohey, who was most recently vice president for multimedia products and services at TMS, joined the editorial department of the Chicago Tribune in 1977. He went on to serve as associate managing editor, sports editor, Sunday magazine editor, Op-Ed page editor, and design director at that newspaper, and has also held various Tribune Co. positions.
