black journalists' group that would like to see Don Imus off the air.
Black Journalists Group: Keep Imus Off The AirI have just read your article on Don Imus and keeping him off the air waves. I just have some questions:
Why do you have a double standard ? it is all right for black men to say these things about a Black woman, but not a white man. Neither should be allowed to say it.
When are you going to go have Isaiah Thomas and have him fired from his job?
Until these and other incidents that the black community thinks is fine among their community, are rectified, you have little room to demand that Don Imus be kept off the air waves.
Joyce MayfieldSounds like NABJ and Barbara Ciara need to look at their own biases.
When we were children what happened to Imus was called ?piling on?. Huge overreaction.
I have all too little respect for the news media as it is today and the cowardly behavior they demonstrated during the Imus debacle only reinforced my feelings.
Tom ChaffeySilverdale, Wash. While I don't think much of Don Imus, there is this thing called free speech.
There are many that I find to be more offensive and vulgar than Imus, among them Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Louis Farrakhan, Leonard Jeffreys and Sonny Carson.
