Top 10 Current Events/Global News Sites for March

Posted
By: Jennifer Saba The Huffington Post muscled its way on to the top 10 current events and global news destinations in March with 13 million unique users. The site is within a hair's breadth of Google News (No. 9), which reported 13.3 million uniques, according to data from Nielsen Online.

The number of unique users at the Huff Post grew 94.2% year-over-year, though it should be noted that Nielsen vastly expanded its panels in June 2009, which affects year-over-year trending.

The New York Times, which normally places in the top 5, was knocked down to No. 6 with 16.4 million unique users.
