Rendell accuses McCain of ?lying? about Obama tax plan
The Caucus
The New York Times
By Katharine Q. Seelye
Gov. Edward G. Rendell of Pennsylvania has accused the McCain campaign of flat out ?lying? about Senator Obama?s plan on taxes reported Seelye on the New York Times site, The Caucus. Gov. Rendell insists that the Tax Policy Center, which has examined the Obama proposals, has concluded that Obama would cut taxes for the majority of Americans inspite of the McCain campaign to insist otherwise. Governor Rendell, staying away from the usual euphemisms which are used in political language, has been unusually blunt and vocal in calling on the McCain campaign, ?to stop misleading, stop lying, about Obama?s tax plan.? Factcheck.org also says that the McCain campaign is engaging in ?a pattern of deceit.?
