Trelleborg has launched its second annual Printing Insights research survey to highlight key challenges and identify current print industry trends, including purchasing decisions and maintenance requirements.
Aiming to gather insights from hundreds of senior industry stakeholders in the U.K. and U.S., the independent survey explores the operational, commercial and environmental pressures on senior decision makers in the printing sector.
Paolo Gagliardi, Commercial Director EMEA / APAC at Trelleborg’s Printing Solutions business, commented: “The Printing Insights survey attempts to reveal stakeholders’ perceptions on a range of issues pertinent to the print industry, highlighting the trends and issues that are due to set the agenda for the next year.
“With the challenging economic climate continuing to influence the printing industry, it’s interesting to see if there are any changes in attitudes from owners, managing directors, production directors and pressroom managers towards investment. We’re also exploring whether the industry is overcoming operational challenges such as press downtime, the importance of whole life costs, the appreciation of sustainability and whether a ‘one size fits all’ approach to blanket specification persists.”
The survey will gather responses from a range of print professionals, including owners, managing directors, production directors and pressroom managers, and span a range of different sectors, from sheet-fed commercial litho and digital, to newspapers and packaging.

My professor was talking about this yesterday. I'm in a Photoshop class in my local college and he set aside a whole day to learn about printing. I didn't realize how much maintenance the printing companies would have to deal with until we had that lesson, it's crazy. http://www.missionsupplyonline.com/product-lines/novibra
